Within the last few months Suncoast Credit Union Foundation has given generously to the DeSoto County Education Foundation to be used for programs within the schools.  “We are thrilled to be able to present these funds to the DeSoto County Education Foundation and to help teachers, students and the schools”, said Lee Smith, Arcadia Service Center Manager.  AR(Accelerated Reader) Books for the Kindergarten classes, adaptive physical education equipment for pre-K children and the migrant education program are some of the areas that will benefit from this generous gift.  In addition, Suncoast was a Platinum Sponsor for the Employee and Volunteer of the Year Recognition event which was held last February.

“The work that the DeSoto County Education Foundation completes would not be possible without the substantial support of sponsors like Suncoast”, stated Martha Jo Markey, Executive Director of the foundation.  “We are deeply indebted for their generosity.”
