Last May, several members of the DHS Class of 2016 walked out of the Turner Agri-Civic Center with more money than they had when they walked in.
Scholarships totaling $682,690 were awarded to members of the class by local businesses, local service organizations, local civic organizations and in memory of local residents.
Several colleges, universities, the Merchant Marines and Take Stock in Children also provided many 2 year and 4 year scholarships to members of the class.
This speaks volumes for the community of DeSoto County and the DeSoto Education Foundation is proud to be a partner with 19 of these donors.
