A BIG THANK YOU

to the Walmart Foundation for their continued support and awarding the DeSoto County Education Foundation, Inc. with a $2,500 grant for the 2016-17 BackPack program. There are over 650 children enrolled in the elementary and middle school grades in DeSoto County that are never sure if there will be sufficient food for them and their brothers and sisters over the weekend.  Thanks to a great sustaining supporter like the Walmart Foundation, the foundation helps to erratic that fear.  Read more about the program and download the packing schedule for the 2016-17 school year!
